Securing Your Benefits

Through our network of trusted funeral homes, the Veterans Memorial Program ensures that you and your family receive the benefits you are entitled to at no cost. Benefits may include:

  • Honor Guard

    An Honor Guard of military members may be requested to participate in the funeral service. This may include pall bearing and the playing of Taps.

  • Flag Presentation

    A United States flag is provided upon request for the burial of any veteran and will be presented to the family members for later display.

  • Presidential Certificate

    Family or friends may request a signed Presidential Memorial Certificate, honoring the veteran’s service in the United States Armed Forces.

  • Honorably discharged veterans of the United States Armed Forces and their spouses are entitled to free burial or cremation interment at a National Cemetery, as well as other funeral services. These benefits can be worth up to $7,000 per person.

  • Having helped hundreds of veterans and their families apply for burial and memorial benefits, most funeral professionals have become experts in the process.   • Although you may qualify for certain burial benefits, they are not automatic. You must provide documentation of your military service to secure benefits and meet eligibility requirements for burial in national or state veterans’ cemeteries.
